I have five and I would have them take turns watching and playing with the little ones. I’d have busy bags or activities ready for them to do. It’s fun to see the big kids get excited again about little ones toys and play them on a higher level, while teaching and spending time with the little ones

I set up the calendar on the iPad with my first graders classes. There is a spot to include a url. The reminder goes off at the appropriate time and all he has to do is click on it.

My son had a designated space and it definitely gives him freedom to start his day without needing me. But he still has flexibility to work outside on the trampoline or the playground platform on those super beautiful days. For a busy boy that was the best thing I figured out. Its not a regular thing but a great for him and keeps him focused. Have you ever seen a kid do math facts while hanging upside down from a slide bar. It must be good for the brain though, because prior to allowing him some flexibility we were constantly in a focus struggle. Now I just shake my head and think this is why I homeschool. I LOVE it.
