Some parents fear remote learning could return as more COVID-19 cases reported in schools

As more students and staff test positive for COVID-19 in Washington schools, some parents worry schools could shut down and transition to remote learning again.

Michelle Calkins has a fourth, seventh and 10th grader in the Auburn School District (ASD). She said since school started she has received at least five COVID-19 notifications from Auburn schools. Two of the letters came on Monday, in addition to a phone call notifying her that her fourth grade son had been in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

If kids get covid and die it is the parents fault for there child's death as if sending them to school being brain washed is more important than the child's life. The school has been treating to take me to court because I haven't sent my son back nor will I be, I tell them to bring it on and ask them if they've ever seen the movie law abiding citizen because I will literally kill as many people as humanly possible. Judges cops sheriff's it don't matter to me

My son started school on September 7th. Five days later he got sick so I took him to the ER and found out he had Covid 😢 I’m a little apprehensive about sending him back. The school informed me that they will not be contacting ANY parents except of those who children sat next to him during lunch because this is the only time the children are not wearing masks.

Hi parents this is your babysitter, look you either want to be buying a large piece of wood or teaching your kids at home! We tried, you only wanted your houses and sanity back, but the fact is you had them and you need to teach them again! Bottom line!

question 4.) "If the Auburn School District has 15,000 students enrolled in 23 different schools, and 95 students tested positive in the past two weeks, What is the average percent of weekly infections of students in the Auburn School District? "

It's sad that children coming out of public school the next several years are not going to have a decent education. I will be required to pay the same or more in school taxes for children who are basically going to be illiterate. Schools were failing our kids when they had full time in class instruction, the online learning is a joke for k-12

This year is still effed up, once vaccination is available for young kids, mandate vaccination and keep schools open even when there are cases.
